14 months old!

Our little boy turned 14 months today!. Within the last week, he's starting to talk a lot more. Aidan continues to amaze us...he told me No at breakfast yesterday, he's not walking on his own yet but he's pushing his walker, the recycle trash can, the laundry basket....pretty much anything he can push and does so....very proudly! He has recovered well from his surgery a weeek ago. He can stand without holding on to anything. Grandma said today that he gave kisses. He really is the light of my life. He changes so rapidly that I truly try and enjoy each day. Yesterday, Aidan went with me and Grandma to the cemetery to pay our respect to Great-Grandma Kate and Great-Grandpa Carl. Then we went to Sals Mexican Restaurant in Oxnard which after 40+ years is closing. It's very sad....I grew up going there.

Daddy is in Nevada yet again. He should be home at night on the 23rd....miss you Daddy.

Brandon went and saw the doc today and is doing great. The neurologist said he is doing great and is the most perfect baby...ok well maybe he didn't say the latter, but it's my blog, my perfect nephew so I'll write whatever I want!

B.....you are perfect. You sure had us worried a year ago but hey, we are the adults, we can handle it. Our family sticks, more like super-glues together when times get rough.

This Christmas will be great because we have the greatest babies. B...can't wait to show you my elf hat and hide your Christmas presents in Grandma and Grampy's pantry!

I love you Aidan and Brandon.

Today would have been my Grandma Kate's, Aidan's Great-Grandma's, birthday. We would always take her out to dinner on her birthday and Cyndi and I would count all the houses with Christmas lights as Mom drove us all. Grandma loved Mexican food (obviously it runs in the family), she would always order a chicken enchilada! She would ask the waiter what kind of beer they had, the waiter would go through the entire list but she would always order the same thing....a Bud! I miss her, I can't imagine how much Mom, Aunt Linda and Aunt Cathy must miss her. A lot of my fun memories from being a kid have Grandma Kate in them. She always had candy and cookies stashed in her cupboard and when Iwould go over to her house, she would give Cyndi and me the ice cream cups that come with a wooden stick! Sometimes I feel the older I get, the more I miss her and Grandma Selma. I wish Grandma Kate, Grandma Selma and Grandma Edna could have met Aidan and Brandon, I know how proud they would be of me and Cyndi, Mom, Jim, Dad, Lori, Tim and Eric. I know they are watching over us and keeping us all safe and healthy.

Happy Birthday Grandma! You're the best Grandma and I'm super lucky that you're my Grandma. Thank you for everything you do which is a whole lot! We had a busy day today at the Harvest Festival. I'm glad I got to spend your special day with you. Mommy said it's a very special day because you're so special. You rock Grandma! I love you so much!

Check out me and B on your birthday last year!

Aidan's 1st Birthday

Aidan's birthday week was a lot of fun. Thank you to everyone who made Aidan's first birthday really special. It was so great to have our family and friends with us to celebrate Aidan's one year mark. We have the best family in Illinois who were with us in thought and sent their love along with some great gifts. Same goes for our family in Louisiana, they as well went to great effort to shower Aidan with presents and wonderful thoughts.

My Aunt Linda from Redding took a very long train ride and spent a little over a week with us. It was so awesome having her here.

My Aunt Cathy, cousin Dawn-Dawn, cousin Trevor and Mallory took a nice long drive from Redding and it was so appreciated. I wish they all could have stayed longer. It's amazing how great you feel when you have your family around you, especially when it's a celebatory occasion. Every time my Aunts and cousins are here, I feel a certain joy that I only feel when they are here....it's something about seeing my Mom goof off with her sisters and seeing her that happy, plus I just love them and like being around them.

Again, thanks to everyone. Tim, Aidan and I are so lucky to have such wonderful people that care so much about us.

We took Aidan to the doc for his 1 year check-up and the little guy weighs 21.6 pounds and is 31 inches long!

Happy Birthday Aunt Linda!

I miss my Auntie! I had so much fun playing with her everyday. I wish she lived here so I could play with her all the time. She rocks!

I hope you have a great birthday Auntie! I love you!

Happy 1st Birthday!

Our little prince turned 1 today! It's unbelievable how fast the past year has flown by. It feels like it was just yesterday that we were having an ultra-sound done and then told to go immediately to the hospital because you were ready! You were born at 5:25PM which is the best moment in Mommy and Daddy's life. Our lives changed in the most positive way possible when you were born. You're our miracle, our dream come true, our reason for waking up with a smile. You have the best personality. You make us laugh and you know it so you keep doing whatever it is you're doing to make us laugh in the first place! You crawl really fast, you hold on to things and walk, you mimic us when we cough, when we say "where's Aidan", you cover your eyes with the back of your hands so adorably! You say da-da and ma-ma really well and babble a lot. You try and grab things on a shelf while in your stroller. You refuse your bottle. You eat baby food, banana, yogurt, egg yolk (though not a fan), oatmeal, and rice cereal. You give me hugs and the occasional kiss. You have your favorite drawer in the kitchen with cupcake sprinkles. You try and grab mine and grandma's glasses. You love books, the sounds of trains and waving. You have the most beautiful blue eyes and a smile that lights up a room. You are in every aspect, a perfect little boy.

You had a very busy day today. You were very lucky today to have your Grandma, Grampy and Aunt Linda play with you all day. Daddy left Nevada at the break of dawn and drove 12 hours so that he could be home on your b-day because he loves you so much. We are so lucky that Daddy, Aunt Linda, Grandma and Grampy celebrated your birthday with you. You weren't that interested in your birthday cake tonight but that's ok. I really should have made you a teething biscuit cake! I decorated the house for your birthday. I know you won't remember it but I promise I will always make your b-day a big deal because you are a big deal. I will always go overboard with balloons and swirly decorations and cake! I love you so much. Happy Birthday Aidan!

Aunt Linda is here!

My Aunt Linda took a 17 hour train ride from Redding and got here tonight. Mommy, Grandma and I went to get her. I'm so excited she is here! I get to play with her all day tomorrow while Mommy is at work! My Aunt Linda rocks!

I went to my second craft show yesterday. I know you're rolling your eyes Daddy but Mommy and Grandma had to show me off at the Harvest Festival! Oh and we made friends because so many people wanted to talk to Mommy about how cute I am! We had a lot of fun and plus we got to see Bernie and Pat there!

Mommy meant to post a blog last Thursday, Oct. 15th so we're sorry Grandma and Grampy, but better late than never. HAPPY 20 YEAR ANNIVERSARY! How lucky am I that you chose to watch me on your special day and not go away on a mini vacation. Mommy always tells me how lucky I am that you're my grandparents and my baby-sitter! Thanks for all you both do to take care of me and wow that's like forever that you've been married! Love you lots!

Fun Weekend!

We had a very fun weekend that just passed. Tim got home Friday night and we jammed packed as much fun as possible throughout the weekend. On Saturday we went to Courtney's 5th b-day party and Aidan sat on the outside of the jumper, had his first ride on a swing set and went down the slide (all with help of course). After Courtney's party, I pushed Aidan in the stroller for about an hour so he could take a nap...we passed Brandon Avenue on the way so I took a picture! We walked to Mom's and got to play with Brandon, Eric and Cyndi a bit before we all headed to the pumpkin patch. We had a great time and it was so much fun watching Brandon run around, playing with hay, picking up pumpkins and getting dirty! Aidan loved being pulled in the wagon and both boys had plenty to do and see to keep entertained.

Sunday morning we went back over to Grandma and Grampy's to hang out and play some more. We had lunch at Toppers and then Aidan, Tim and I went home to get laundry done (as you can see from the pic, Aidan helped out), and get Tim packed. We had a nice, relaxing afternoon, got chores done and just enjoyed being together.

Tim left early Monday morning and will be gone for over a week. We miss him very much but appreciate how hard he is working and just look forward to him coming home. Thanks Aunt Cyndi, Uncle Eric and cuz Brandon for driving to Simi and having so much fun with Aidan. Grandma and Grampy....well...let's just say YOU ROCKED with your matching Halloween shirts. Great Grandma Trahan sent A & B matching Halloween shirts and jeans which they wore adorably to the patch! Maw-maw and Paw-paw sent B & A (sounds like root beer or a drive in or something) the cutest matching Halloween pjs, which glow in the dark and are super awesome. Both boys are very lucky to have so many people that love them so much.

11 month b-day!

Aidan is 11 months old today! He has four teeth, weighs 20.5 pounds and is 30.5 inches long. We have had our hands full the last two weeks. Aidan had a cold which he is still getting over and is currently taking medicine to help him get over a sinus infection. He stopped taking a bottle about a week and half ago and we are hoping he is refusing the bottle because of the congestion in his nose/cheeks. So we've been spoon feeding him liquids because he hasn't learned to use a sippy cup. The big drama was that we had to take him for a brain MRI last Friday which came back just fine. It was for sure, the scariest thing we've been through with Aidan. I'm not a big extrovert when it comes to religion but God was/is definitely watching over Aidan, not to mention all of us. We really are lucky, not only to be Aidan's parents but to have a healthy little boy. Thank you Mom for going with us to the hospital...you are so supportive and I thank God everyday that you're my mom and Aidan's Grandma. Cranky pants is finally asleep (for the time being), he's not doing too hot at sleeping through the nights but we think in addition to him not feeling good with a sinus infection, that he might have another tooth working it's way in. He woke up much happier this morning and Grampy and Grandma said he was in a good mood today. He waved to me when I walked in the door to pick him up today! He's learning quickly and changes even quicker. After dealing with Aidan's continuous crying, I admit I had reached my limit this past weekend but then Aidan smiles and my heart melts and I have no choice but to smile back and remember how lucky I am to be his Mommy.
I love you Aidan.

Tim's Back!

I'm so happy that Tim is back and so is Aidan. At the moment, Tim is outside talking to Aidan as cars go by and showing him the bird in the tree, etc. Tim doesn't know that I was watching but it truly is so sweet to watch him play with Aidan. Tonight was our first dinner together...back as a family and Tim obviously did not miss a beat at making Aidan laugh. Check out the cutest videos.

Daddy's coming home!

Daddy's plane just left Kenai and he's coming home! Mommy and I are so excited.

It's been 63 days since we saw Daddy

I have 3 new teeth

I crawl

I've had 252 bottles

I have tried 22 new baby foods

Approximately 325 diaper changes

33 baths

We have made it through our last night without Daddy, last time Mommy and I have to get the mail (that's Daddy's job) and today is half over so we have almost made it through our last weekend without Daddy. Mommy bought me a blow up pool but says we have to wait for you to come home before I can use it...same goes for the beach. You and Mommy have 34 recorded shows to watch! So much I can't wait to show you what I can do. Hurry and get here already! We love you.

Da-Da

It's official.....Aidan says Da-Da! Just in time for Da-da to come home....five days and counting! Last garbage day without Tim and I have no problem relinquishing my trash-taking out/diaper genie emptying skills to Da-Da! By the way, major kudos to Grampy who had to leave his dinner last night to come over to my place to remove the nastiest dead possum....euwwwwww, so disgusting....Grampy rocks!

We have decided to have Aidan's first birthday party on Saturday, October 24th for out of town familia that might want to consider coming to visit. I mean really, how often does the most adorable baby turn 1? I'll have to work harder at the guilt trip thing!

Aidan's back awake...hurry home Da-Da. We miss you and love you so much.

Clapping is back!

I was lucky to have a 3 day weekend with Aidan and we had so much fun. If it wasn't for us going to Mom's for her delicious tacos on Sunday night, I'm not sure we would have left the house Saturday or Sunday. Chyke dropped by yesterday to say hi which was nice. Aidan and I played and napped the rest of the day.

After our morning nap, I say "our" because this mommy did NOT get very much sleep and Aidan thought it would be fun to get up at 5AM.....uhhhh getting side tracked, after our morning nap, Grampy made a surprise visit. Aidan showed off in his jumper and had fun playing with Grampy. Grampy gave him some of his bottle and then did some babysitting while I ran to the grocery store. Thanks Grampy for coming over and watching Aidan!

After our afternoon nap, heehee, we did some cleaning, laundry, dusting, watering plants, etc. and went to Grandma and Grampy's for dinner. Check out the cute video of Aidan clapping. Once Aidan learned to crawl, he stopped clapping but I am quite the persistant mommy who keeps clapping, trying to get little A to clap. I'm proud to say...the clapping is back! OH, and we think Aidan is trying to say DA-DA. I could have done without the meltdown when I tried to clean Aidan up tonight and put on his jammy jammies but it's ok, we'll blame all bad behavior on teething! Last Sunday night without Daddy......hooray!

Coming home!!!

I'm coming home and will be there on Sunday the 30th late at night!!!

I can't wait to hold Tiffany and play with Aidan.

Love you all,

Tim

Aidan is 10 months old!

Aidan and I spent the entire day together on his 10th month b-day! Aidan must have been excited too because he woke up earlier than normal....wide awake and ready to play at 5:15 AM. After his morning nap, we went to Baja Fresh and I ate lunch quickly and then we went to the train station. I fed Aidan lunch while he sat up in his stroller and we waited for a train....when the train came through finally, I was holding Aidan and he got excited and started kicking his feet. We can hear trains from our house and I always say, "Aidan, do you hear the train?" Just within the last two weeks, when we hear the train's horn, Aidan looks toward the window when I say it and gets excited. So it may sound corny but I thought it would be fun and a good learning experience for Aidan..which it was. Aidan saw a butterfly while we waited and put his hand out. He's so smart! Before dinner, we went to farmer's market at the mall and walked around. I took Aidan out of the stroller at the mall, we sat on a bench and watched the fish in the coi pond they have there. We had a fun day together...only thing that would have made it better is if Tim were here to play with us.

The good news is that we are in single digit countdown territory baby....only 9 days until Daddy comes home!!!! Yippee skippy!! Tim flys home next Sunday arriving at LAX late on Sunday night. We can't wait, it truly sucks when your best friend is so far away and on a completely opposite schedule.

Aidan had his third tooth come in this past Wednesday, 8/20/09. This tooth is the other top front...so he has one on the bottom and two on the top! Aidan's new thing is he loves to grab my legs while I'm standing and pull on me. It's so cute, not very easy to take my contacts out or put on mascara, but I love it. I love Aidan. I love being a mom, I love being Aidan's Mom.

Happy Birthday Grandma

Happy Birthday Grandma Lori! I hope you and Grandpa had a fun vacation in Arizona! I'm keeping very busy with my teething, babbling and exploration of everything! If there is a drawer that is closed, I'll try and open it! I love to crawl up the stairs and I'm getting better at standing. I hold on to something but now I try to let go of one hand. I do something else that is new....when I'm on the ground playing and I get tired, I just lay down on my back and play with my toys. I tried yogurt for the first time and just like with the egg yolk, I make a very funny face. Mommy said we only have about two weeks until Daddy comes home...yeah! Love you Grandma....hope you and Grandpa are having fun. See you soon.

Aidan's 2nd tooth!

This video is very cute of Aidan starting to talk. I felt his second tooth break through this morning and by the afternoon, Grandma could see it! It's a front top tooth! Aidan tried a tiny bit of hard boiled egg yolk yesterday and then a little more again today. Grandma also has been giving him a little bit of smashed banana almost everyday and he's getting better at eating it. I've attempted to give him juice via a sippy cup but he's not too interested at the moment so I'll just let it be. He's never had juice so I'm sure once he actually sips from the cup, he'll like it. I thought Aidan was asleep for the night but apparently not, ha! I'll continue at some other time.

Happy Birthday Uncle Eric

Happy Birthday Uncle Eric. I heard you're not feeling very good....I hope you get better soon. I had a lot of fun at your house this past weekend playing with Brandon, Kendyl, Evonne, Abbey, Heather and Kevin. Grandma and Grampy pushed me and Brandon in the wagon, it was my first time and I really liked it! Brandon helped you open your b-day presents and you kept stuffing his shirt with the wrapping paper, he looked like a football player!
Love you Uncle.

One month to go!

Aunt Cyndi was able to get this picture of my first tooth. I have had a very busy week. Aunt Cyndi and Brandon spent the week with us which was a lot of fun. They stayed at Grandma and Grampy's so everyday when Mommy dropped me off before work, my cousin and aunt were there waiting for me. Brandon and I played a lot and I'm getting a little bit more brave and hold on to my toys as strong as I can so that Brandon won't take it away from me. He always wants what I have. I sure miss Daddy but Mommy says we only have a month left....yeah!

Gigi, Aunt Gerry and cousins Alex and Ali came over to visit, that was fun. As always, I have a lot of fun playing with Grampy and Grandma. I ate a mashed banana for the first time and am getting better at eating puffs. I took a bath in the big people's bath...heehee at Grandma's house. Grandma helped Mommy give me a bath and then Brandon got in and again, he wanted all the toys! Cuz does love me though because he kept hugging me and when I would crawl, Brandon would stop walking and crawl with me, he's my buddy.

The Bunch's came over on Sunday and Caitlan and Courtney played with me. Caitlan brought her hermit crab! I showed off in my jumper. Scott put up another gate so now Mommy won't let me go in the kitchen....I'm NOT happy about that and I cry when Mommy is in the kitchen and I'm not.

What's going on in there???? Mommy and I started to watch Nascar on Sunday but it got rained out so we just played. I like to get into things I'm not suppose to...like the tissue box and attempting to tear Mommy and Daddy's magazines up. My Mommy is quick though and she is constantly reorganizing so I just have to work harder at finding things she doesn't want me to have. It's fun being a baby!

I can't wait for August to fly by and then Daddy will be home and then.....my first birthday will be here soon! Yippee!!!!

Caitlan's 9 in '09

I got to go to my second birthday party tonight. My friend Caitlan turned 9 years old today. I had so much fun! Your SpongeBob cake rocked! Happy Birthday Caitlan! Thanks for doing funny things to make me smile.

I went to see the doctor lady a few days ago. I weigh 19 pounds and am 29 1/2 inches long. The doc said I'm in the 80th percentile for height and 20's for weight. She told Mommy that I can start to try new things like yogurt, hard boiled egg yolk, smashed banana and juice. Grandma went with me and Mommy and Grandma held me while the doctor checked me out. I got so excited that I accidentally peed on the doctor lady. Mommy held me while they poked my finger to test my iron which was fine and I also got a shot....I don't want to go back there if they're always going to do that stuff....not cool.

What is cool is that my Grandpa Don and Grandma Lori came to visit me on Saturday which was really fun. And then today for lunch, Grandma met me and Mommy for a burger...well, I didn't have a burger, I just played with my super ginormos noisy keys while practicing my spit bubbles. Mommy and I came home and watched the Brickyard 400 where Mark Martin took the pole and finished 2nd. Mommy was sad about that. Everyone asked about you Daddy....I guess they all miss you as much as me and Mommy.

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Happy Birthday Grandpa! Check out how big I'm getting! I can use something to help me stand up! I hope you have a fun day. Mommy told me I should ask you when you and Grandma are coming to visit. I mean no guilt trip or anything but you haven't got to meet me yet and I do rock! hee hee I wish we lived closer because if we did, Mommy and I would take you to lunch. We miss you and love you.
Happy Birthday!

Aidan is 9 months old!

Aidan is nine months old today! He is so cute not to mention curious. He explores and learns new things everyday. He can crawl a lot faster which means he can get into things much faster. Grampy installed a safety gate for us today which rocks! Thanks Grampy! Grandma and Grampy have a busy job chasing after Aidan all day. Tim and I are so thankful and so lucky that Aidan is in the best care...no wonder he's such a happy little boy! Aidan pulls himself up and puts his hands on the floor as if at any moment he's going to just stand up and walk away on his own. He cries when you won't let him have things like phones and remotes. We all live for his adorable laugh which he is doing more of. We all love you Aidan very much.

3 weekends down, about 6 to go!

It's the end of our third weekend without Daddy and although we're smiling, it's still not any easier.....we sure miss you Daddy!

We had a great weekend with Cyndi and Brandon. They came down Friday and stayed until Sunday afternoon. Thanks to Grandma and Grampy, Cyndi and I got to spend some much needed girl time but it still sucks we're a girl down....just not the same without Mom, plus when Cyndi and I argue, Mom's not there to shut one of us up so it's really no fun at all! Aunt Gerry, Uncle Bob and Gi-gi came to visit which was great. I believe the boys did a good job entertaining! I'm a little too tired to download and resize the pics and videos I took this weekend. Aidan woke up from his afternoon nap happy but quickly became very grumpy. I think his mouth is really hurting. Right before his bedtime bottle, he was crying really hard while I was trying to change/dress him. He's kicking his feet and is just so upset (that's my nice way of describing his temper tantrum!). I set him down for a minute to wash my hands and he just looks so helpless sitting there crying, he puts his arms "up" so I'll pick him up. I pick him up, hug and kiss him and then rock him while giving him his bottle. I realize how much he needs me, not just to take care of him, but to love and comfort him...it's these moments that mean the world to me and make me so appreciative to be Aidan's Mom.

Aidan misses Daddy!

The video below is for my Daddy. Daddy always takes videos of me farting and pooping....Mommy is more proper and doesn't think that really needs to be posted on my blog but since Daddy is gone, Mommy took this of me, especially for Daddy. I love you Daddy. I promise to have plenty of dirty diapers when you come home! P.S. Daddy, Mommy says to look at the length of the video....204...Mommy said you would know what that means.

Cutest Mark Martin Fan!

Aidan and I spent the weekend playing, doing laundry, cleaning up, playing some more, hanging out with Grandma Lori, Grandpa Don, having dinner with Grampy and Grandma and watching Nascar! The race was an evening race on Saturday night and as much as I'm a Mark Martin fan, certain events in Aidan's life, like his first tooth coming in, trumps me talking about racing!

But really, Aidan is the cutest, not to mention, the best little Mark Martin fan. Mark was leading most of the race and Aidan and I would watch here and there but again, certain things like oh I don't know, diaper changes, eating dinner, getting a bath once again trump watching the race straight through. I gave Aidan his nighttime bottle, while watching Mark lead, Aidan fell asleep so I kept watching. With the stupid new double file restart Nascar implemented, a caution came out around lap 42 and on the restart Mark got passed and went from leading to 3rd place. Another caution occurred with 16 laps to go, Mark was in the second row and with the fighting between Johnson and Vickers, Mark passed them....whoo hooo! Well, everything was going great, Mark was leading, race is almost over and another caution came out w/7 laps to go (Tim hates cautions and would have been complaining, boy I never thought I would say I missed that), anyways, I want to scream and I'm all nervous because Mark has to start on the front row with Gordon who has fresh tires but I'm holding Aidan who is sleeping so angelically, so I'm silently screaming and trying not to shake and when the green flag waives with 3 laps remaining, Mark gets an awesome jump on Gordon at the re-start, little Aidan wakes up, sits up, watches the last two laps with Mark winning and then goes back to sleep! Can you say....the best baby ever! Martin made history at the Joliet, IL racetrack with the most laps led....195, it was his 39th win and 741st start. I can't wait until I can take Aidan and Brandon to their first race!

Aidan's First Tooth!

Grandpa Don and Grandma Lori came to visit me and Mommy today. Grandma was the first to notice that I had a new tooth...yeah for Grandma and yeah for me! It's in the front on the bottom. I had a lot of fun with Grandma and Grandpa. Thanks for spending time with me and Mommy and for buying lunch for Mommy. I love you.

Check out the video of the first time I crawled. Grandma Suzy took the video of me while her and Grampy were baby-sitting me yesterday.

Mommy always relies on Daddy to post videos of me....it's after midnight, I know because I think I have a second tooth coming in and I hear Mommy in her office typing and stuff so she must be posting the other video of me crawling!

Friday, July 10, 2009

Aidan crawled!

Aidan crawled at Grandma and Grampy's today...yeah! I'll work on getting the video that Grandma took posted. It just continues to amaze me how quickly Aidan learns new things but then again everything about that baby amazes me. He truly makes my life happy and gives me so many reasons to smile. I'm looking forward to spending time with Aidan this weekend. Thanks Mom and Jim for helping me with Aidan, Aidan and I are so lucky to have you.

Learning lots of new things

Aidan is doing a lot of new things these past two weeks. This morning I woke to Aidan putting his hand through the crib slots trying to grab what is on the nightstand. Shortly after that, while I was trying to get things ready for the day, Aidan decided it was an exploration day by first trying to tip over the trash can and everything else on the floor. He is very curious these days and I just love it. Even something as simple as me adjusting the thermostat while holding him, he reaches out and wants to push the buttons like Mommy. He has definitely mastered the "raspberries" but now I just consider it full on spit bubbles. He is learning to pull off his bibs and tries to take off the hats I put on when we're on our walks because he uses those adorable little feet to open the stroller canopy. It was ohhhh so cute at first...not so cute when you're huffing and puffing...pushing the stroller up a hill and curious George wants the sun on his face...oh I should mention, for the brief moment he does open it, he squints (yeah..the sun) and then gets irritated because it's so bright!

Aidan had what I believe to be his first little temper tantrum tonight. He really hates lying down after his bath so that I can change him and clean his ears, etc. Most of the time, he just cries a little and tries to sit up.....tonight....well let's just say he kicked his feet and smacked his hand on the ground while crying LOUDLY. It was so cute but I did everything in my power to not smile at him....although I was laughing on the inside. Like always, I distracted him with a toy.

On to crawling, Grandma and Grampy said he made an attempt to crawl, I got to see him attempt it tonight as well. It seems everyday he gets a little braver so maybe tomorrow will be the day when he crawls, up to this point, he just has the right stance and puts one knee forward.....who knows what's next?

He gets smarter and cuter day after day. I love you Aidan.

Happy Birthday Nya!

Happy 5th b-day cousin Nya! I can't wait to meet you someday. Grandma emailed pics and it looked like you had fun at your party last week....hope you received the present we sent to you. Lots of love cousin.

It's been one week since Daddy has been gone but it feels like forever. Approximately 7 more weeks to go. Daddy, I'm getting good at pulling myself up to a standing position when holding on to something. I keep trying to use the curtains or coffee table at home but Mommy doesn't let me. I scrunch my nose and make a funny sound, everybody laughs when I do it and says how cute I am! Mommy has a calendar countdown on the frig and every morning after I get fed and then we feed Wakealina, I help Mommy change the countdown days which today read 56 days remaining. I love you Daddy.

Aidan's First July 4th!

I celebrated my first 4th of July! Thanks Aunt Cyndi, Uncle Eric and Brandon for driving down to celebrate and for my festive clothes! Mommy pushed me in the stroller from our house to Grandma/Grampy's and then we went to Toppers for lunch. As you can see in the slideshow, Brandon wanted to drive Grandma's car but Grandma said no....oh and he said ma ma for the first time...what a showoff! Great Grandma came over to Grampy's house and we all had a BBQ. Mommy and I miss Daddy so much, it just wasn't the same without him.

Happy Birthday Aunt Cathy....I love you.

First day of July

Aidan spent the day with me today running errands for work. We had a nice day and Aidan did really well. The highlight of our day was seeing Daddy on the web cam. Aidan got very excited when he saw Daddy. As soon as Tim started talking, before I even had a chance to make the web cam a full page, Aidan did his yelling that he does when he is really happy and then he clapped. Tim is pretty tired but managed to sleep during the day. Hopefully it won't take him too long to get adjusted to his new schedule.

I wanted to post pics and a message from Father's Day but obviously we were wrapped up in Tim loosing his job and the crappy way Marketscan handled it. No bad feelings towards them but they fired Tim's guys that work in different states via overnight courier and did not let Tim know what was happening. Anyways, I got side tracked....beginning to sound like my sis, hee hee....(don't get mad Cyndi, you know it's true!). I'm trying to stay positive and the pics from Father's Day really cheer me up although Grampy is not in any pics because he was sick that weekend. We really missed him. One of my next posts will have pics of Grampy. Below is a slide show from Father's Day weekend. Dad took me on a motorcycle ride [I told him faster Daddy faster] (sorry inside joke with our family), moving along, it was so awesome to ride the Harley again and it was a beautiful day.....the mountains, sky, landscape, everything is more beautiful when you're on a hog! I know I'm coolio just like Dad!

Daddy flying to Alaska

My Daddy left today to go work in Alaska for two months. I was sleeping when Daddy left this morning but he picked me up and hugged and kissed me goodbye. Right now he's flying from Seattle to Anchorage...flying 342 knots at 15,900 feet! Yeah....my Mommy is very detail oriented! Mommy has been tracking his flights since he left L.A. Uncle Jeff is going to pick Daddy up from the airport in Kenai tonight. Mommy and I are going to miss Daddy but Mommy said we'll talk to Daddy everyday on the web cam. I love you Daddy.

Clapping with Grandma & Grampy

I'm lucky enough to spend my weekdays all day with Grandma and Grampy. They play with me and I just love it. As Mommy puts me in my car seat every morning, she tells me we're going to see Grandma and Grampy and I smile. Mommy also says that I'm really lucky that they watch me but I know that.......I'm really smart! Anyways, I clap now and everybody goes crazy when I do! Mommy has been showing me how to clap since I was three months old.....every morning I sit in my jumper while she's doing her hair or makeup.....she uses her brush to sing to me and she claps so I finally decided to give it a try. Grampy and I were really having a lot of fun. Grandma was recording me! It doesn't take much to make these people that love me so much smile! Thank you for watching me everyday Grandma and Grampy! I love you.

Brandon's 1st Birthday Party

Sorry it took over a week to post pictures from Brandon's party. Unfortunately I missed almost two hours of his party.....was upstairs holding Aidan while he took a nap. I wish I could have taken more pics and visited with family and friends more. I'm glad I did not miss watching B eat his cake and open his presents with help from his ever so lovely and adorable helper Kendyl!
I love you Brandon.

Brandon's 1st Birthday!

Brandon, you are 1 year old today! Right now, we're all counting down to the exact minute you were born 12 months ago. You made your wonderful debut at 10:47 AM. Your Mommy was in labor all night and worked really hard for your arrival. Your Daddy worked really hard too, he supported, conforted, loved and encouraged your Mommy the entire time. You had quite an audience waiting also. There were those of us that waited not so patiently at the hospital...we couldn't help it, we were so excited to meet you.... and your family that lives in other states/counties that were praying for you and kept in touch with us at the hospital. You had your very own fan club before you were even born! Your Mommy might not like that I'm posting this picture but it's one of the first moments caught on camera that she sees and holds you for the first time. I love this picture. You are so perfect and I love you very much. You have so many people that love you....you're one lucky boy! I wish I could see you today on your actual birthday....I'm sad I won't get to. We'll see you Friday and then Saturday is your party....yeah! I'm thinking of you all day and in approximately 35 minutes, we'll all look at the clock and remember just how lucky we are that you were born.

Fun at Grandpa and Grandma's house

Two weekends ago, I went to visit my Grandpa and Grandma. It was the first time I went to their house in Port Hueneme. Grandma and Grandpa were so excited and the minute I got there, Grandma and Grandpa rushed out to Mommy's car and picked me up. Then Grandpa took me on a tour of his garage. He showed me all his tools and told me one day he'll teach me how to use them. Grandpa showed me his Harley and I got to sit on the motorcyle with Grandpa. I had so much fun. My cuz Brandon and Aunt Cyndi were there too.....I had the best afternoon. My mommy said I did a really good on the drive and she was proud of me. I can't wait to see Grandma and Grandpa again. I love you.

Happy Easter

Aidan and Brandon celebrated their first Easter! We all had a very fun day. Grandma Lori and Grandpa Don spent the first half of the day with us. They had so much fun playing with Aidan and Brandon. Thank you for all the nice Easter gifts and most of all, spending time with us.

Grandma made a delicious ham dinner as usual and we all got to relax and hang out the rest of the afternoon. Thank you Grandma and Grampy for Aidan's Easter goodies.

Aidan misses his Grandma and Grandpa in Illinois. We were thinking about them though. Aidan wore his Easter outfit Grandma and Grandpa Bundy sent him and he chewed on his Easter beanie baby! They sent Aidan a care package (and jelly beans for Mommy & Daddy) a week ago which we really liked getting!

Cyndi, Mom and I had a chance to spend some time together shopping on Saturday. All part of our birthday celebration. We had so much fun. It was great having Cyndi, Eric and Brandon here all weekend.

Happy Birthday Aunt Cyndi!

My Aunt Cyndi's birthday is today, she is 31 years old! I love my Aunt Cyndi, she always hugs and kisses me. I can't wait to see her this weekend so I can give her a present.

My Mommy talks to Auntie everyday, she said she is very lucky to have such a great sister. I hope you had a good day today. See you Saturday....yippee!!
I love you.

Mmm.... Green Beans! They look gross going in and look gross coming out. HA!!

A few videos of my Aunt Cathy and Aunt Linda

Woo hoo! It was so fun to meet them for the first time....

Aidan laughing for the first time!

Aidan smiles and coo's all of the time but tonight he actually chuckled a bit when I was playing with him.... Tif was beside herself she was so excited. She actually stopped her shower just to film it and call people. I love to see her like that.

5 months old!

Aidan is five months old today! It's hard to believe you have been with us this long. Time goes by so quickly. Mommy is pretty tired so I'm going to make this quick. Like I tell you every day, multiple times, I love you very much. You are such a beautiful baby and just like your cousin Brandon, you brighten our lives. Life is so much happier with you and Brandon in it. I would have put another cute picture of you on this blog but Aunt Cyndi, Uncle Eric and B are sleeping and I really don't think they would appreciate me sitting at my desk while they try and sleep! Thanks for being such an awesome baby....keep up all the wonderful smiles and cute sounds. Mommy and Daddy love you.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Aidan and Brandon celebrated their first St. Patrick's Day! It was so great having Aunt Cathy and Aunt Linda here for their first Patty's Day! Aidan wore his Cal Poly sweatshirt for the first time today! Thank you Jen, Scott, Caitlan & Courtney! Aidan started eating vegetable baby food this week. So far just sweet potatoes.....he is a good eater! Grandma and Aunties have been feeding him at lunch. I'll get some pictures or videos of him eating his rice cereal or sweet potatoes on the Internet soon. Tim and I have been going over to Grandma & Grampy's everyday so we can spend at much time with my Aunts before they have to go home.....so sad. Hope everyone is enjoying today....for me, it's the second alcohol free Patty's day in a row but worth every minute and then some. Aidan is my lucky charm, my gold at the end of the rainbow, my magic little leprechaun....ok ok, I'll stop, you all get how much I love the little guy.

Aunt Linda & Aunt Cathy are here...yeah!

My Aunt Cathy and Aunt Linda took an airplane from Redding so that they could meet me and see my cousin Brandon.

My Aunts have been here since Wednesday and it's been so much fun! They love to play with me, hold me, feed me and take me on walks. My Mommy loves having them here, she said she wishes they lived here. I can't wait to see my aunties, Grandma and Grampy tomorrow for more fun! I love you Aunties!

Aidan, Brandon, and Grandpa Jimmy

Here is a quick video of Grandpa Jimmy and the boys.

Brandon in his jumper!

Now this is cute! Brandon is growing up to be such a cute little boy. He is extremely strong already.

That poor jumper! If it could talk, it would cry.

Aidan and a few of his "noises"

Sounds just like daddy!! AWWW....

Aidan drumming to Metallica!

I sure would love to see him become a drummer! I think he has a natural talent for it. Can't ya tell?

Brandon trying to rip off Aidans face

Not really. But it's still adorable.

2/26/08 to 2/26/09

A year ago today I found out that I was pregnant! Tim and I were so happy. I thought giving myself shots during fertility treatments were tough....the next couple of months proved to be very trying. We wanted a baby so bad that we were willing to try anything so every morning at 5:30AM, Tim would give me a shot. My pregnancy wasn't an easy one but thanks to the support of Tim and my family, we have our dream come true. He's an amazing little baby. It can be tough, with the sleep deprivation and the crying spurts but Aidan is truly a blessing. A blessing at times, I wondered if I would have the chance to have. I can honestly say that my 9 months of pregnancy and the year prior of treatments, dragged on, was frustrating, scary and tested us. But then we'd have an ultrasound and see Baby Bundy and we were rejuvenated! Since Aidan was born, time just flies by and every morning I wake up, I give my thanks to God and remind myself how extremely lucky I am to be Aidan's Mom. When Tim and I say he is our perfect miracle, we mean it in every way. I love you Tim and Aidan.

Visit to the pediatrician

Aidan had his four month check-up today. He weighs 13 pounds and is 24.5 inches long. The pediatrician said we could start introducing baby food....his Uncle Eric just told us the same thing this weekend! Aidan received four immunization shots today. It's heart-breaking to hear your little boy cry like that. Speaking of crying, Aidan had a rough night and morning. Grandma came to the rescue...yeah! Aidan has been going to Grandma and Grampy's house everyday now for a month! Thank you Mom and Jim for taking excellent care of little A. Mom, thanks so much for always being there for us. You're an amazing woman and I aspire to be like you.

2/21/09 Aidan's 4 months old!

Aidan, every morning I cannot wait for you to wake up and smile at me. I'm always so tired and busy working but the minute I hear your little body start to move, I rush in to see you. You light up my day! You've changed so much in a month. You sleep through the night, you smile constantly and when we talk to you, you respond with cute babbles. Your Daddy and I want you to know how happy our lives are now that you're here. It takes us 3 days to watch an hour long show because we're watching your Baby Einstein movie but that's alright.....we sit on the couch together watching you and all your cuteness! You still cry at night but I love holding you close, singing, reading, rocking....whatever it takes to help you (and me of course) get to dreamland! We love you.

2/20/09 Brandon's 9 months old!

Hi cousin! You'll be nine months old in an hour! I'm aware of the time because I don't like to go to bed before 11PM....not sure why Mommy keeps trying! I can't wait to see you again. Mommy said we're probably going to drive to see you next weekend. Grandma and Grampy might drive with me and Mommy. I'll show you how I can roll over now.....maybe you can teach me how to roll back over. I can roll from my back to my tummy easily and I've figured out to roll and get on my back but it's not very easy and I start to get upset being on my stomach too long. There are a lot of things you can teach me. I miss you. Love you cuz.

Little Aidan playing!

Who needs a video camera when a regular digital camera can take pretty good videos? So, instead of buying an HD video camera, it's time for a new flat screen 46" Samsung TV!! Tif? Is that OK?.... Hee hee. I tried.

Isn't he awesome!

Daytona 500!

Aidan watched his first Daytona 500 this past Sunday! I recorded the race and waited for Aidan to wake up from his nap so that he could hear his first "Gentleman, start your engines!" I told him we were rooting for Mark Martin who started the race second in position. Mark Martin took the lead but sadly did not end up winning the race. Matt Kennseth won the race under red flag conditions, not the most exciting. Aidan and I had a fun time watching the race. I have a quick video of Aidan to prove he liked it! Mommy is so proud of her little race fan!

Playing with my new camera

After setting the exposure time on my camera to 15 seconds, you can use a flashlight to write letters if you know how... Its pretty fun, geeky, and kinda cool.

Here is a picture I took in my dark garage. You have to move fast to get all the letters in on time. You also have to know when to cover the bulb on the flashlight. That way there are no connecting lights to each letter!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Mommy and Daddy say I'm the cutest, most awesome baby. You have to admit, I do have the best smile! It's my first Valentine's Day and my Mommy and Daddy bought me two books!
Love, Aidan

Aidan can roll all the way to his stomach now!!

He now does it a lot and it is so exciting for us to watch. We are so proud of him. He just hates to be on his stomach so he starts to freak a bit if he is there too long but he is getting better day by day.

This is a long video, but shows him rolling onto his stomach a few times.

And this video shows Aidan actually rolling back!

Aidan rolling to the side!!

Hello everyone, here is the first video of Aidan rolling to the side a few times. Its so darn cute how he sticks his feet straight to the sky and then sort of rolls over. Aidan rolled to the side for the first time on February 5th, 2009... Oh, and he's watching the baby Einstein DVD that Aunt Amy sent to him. He loves it!

Happy Birthday Grampy!

Happy Birthday Grampy! I'm looking forward to spending your birthday with you. I'll try to not cry so much so that you have a good day. Mommy tells me everday how lucky I am that you and Grandma watch me and take such good care of me while Mommy works. Thank you for playing with me and getting me to smile. I love you!

Aidan's 1st Super Bowl

I watched my first Super Bowl this past Sunday! We had a great time at Grandma and Grampy's. Grandma made her famous tortilla chips and cheese popcorn, but still just milk for me. From all the yelling, it must have been a good game. Grandma told Grampy, Mommy and Daddy to be quiet since I kept trying to take naps. I watched the kick-off and since Mommy loves Bruce Springsteen, she sang to me during half-time. Daddy got me to smile at the end of the game! Everybody laughed and kept smiling at me so they must love it when I smile!

Aidan's 3 months old!

Happy 3 month birthday Aidan! Time has just flown by since you were born. Three months ago, your Daddy and I were so nervous when we found out that they needed to deliver you two weeks early. The first time we saw you, we both agreed that we thought you were perfect. It’s kind of hard to believe that we could think you could get any more “perfect” but three months later, you’re even more adorable. Your smile is so beautiful that Daddy and I never tire of making funny sounds and doing such weird things to get you to smile again and again and again! We love you.

Cousin Brandon is 8 months old!

Hey Cousin! I heard you turned 8 months old today? Cool! I can't wait for you to talk and tell me how baby food tastes. I just get milk right now. When Mommy and Daddy eat dinner, they either put me in my swing or on the floor, they think I'm listening to that caterpillar counting numbers and playing music but really I'm listening to their conversations which is how I know that you're 8 months old today. I'll see you soon cuz.....tell Auntie and Uncle I love them. I have to go, Mommy keeps ssshing me, I guess she wants me to go to sleep or something.

Mommy went back to work!

Today was my first day away from Mommy. I spent the entire day at Grandma and Grampy’s. They are my new baby sitters while Mommy works. She started working two weeks ago but I got to stay home with her. It wasn’t that easy for her to work and take care of me at the same time but she loved having me at home with her. It’s hard to believe Mommy has been off of work for three months tomorrow! Mommy was so sad to leave me today, she said how lucky I am to have Grandma to take care of me because she hugs and loves me all day, just like Mommy does. I guess I’m so cute and loveable that Mommy missed me so much, she came and saw me at lunch! Thank you Grandma and Grampy for watching me, and taking such good care of me.

Happy 2009!

Aidan would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year! He is very lucky to have wonderful family and friends that love him so much. He gets bigger and cuter everyday. He changes so fast that it's difficult for his mommy to keep up with his baby book, much less his blog but she'll keep trying. He is one week shy of being three months old. He is smiling a lot this week. Just tonight, he smiled when Grampy came over for dinner. He is able to keep his hands in his mouth which he likes much better than a pacifier.
His Mommy would like to say that even in one of the worse economic environments we've had, 2008 was the best year ever! It was so special to watch her nephew Brandon being born. Brandon is the most amazing, smart, adorable baby who I love so much. Five months and one day later, I was blessed to see what it feels like to be a mom. It's the most amazing feeling to hold the baby you've always wanted for the first time. To hear him cry for the first time was a beautiful sound. I can't honestly say that the crying is still beautiful but Aidan is so wonderful and does something everyday to make me remember how truly lucky I am to be his mom. His Mommy and Daddy light up, no matter what is going on in their lives, every single time he shows us that awesome smile of his. 2009 is going to be so much fun watching Aidan and Brandon grow and do so many new things!

Aidan found his hand!!

Aidan loves to eat his hand now. He does this before and after he eats. No he isn't teething. We think he does it to soothe himself. Boy it sure is cute too....

Now this is what makes us melt!!

When babies smile, they take away all the stress. Aidan has been smiling a lot more these days. Its not just gas anymore. Actually, he doesn't really smile when he has gas anymore. He just cries... HA!!

How cute is this??

I sure wish I could sit up by myself...

I need all the support I can get.

Having fun at the expense of our baby!

Ahh the things we do to have a little fun.
