17 month's old

Aidan is 17 months old today. He does "silly face" upon request....meaning he scrunches his nose, smiles and looks's adorable. He can raise his hand, show you his belly when you ask as well as his nose. He loves the wagon or W-A-G-O-N as it's know around here! He's like having a puppy, the minute he hears anything even closely related to park or wagon, he goes to the door and starts fussing if we don't leave right away. Aidan loves to be pulled in the wagon and go to the park. He plays on the slide and the swing and of course in the dirt! Today, we let him go down the big twirly slide all by himself and I think Tim and I were both ready to faint but Aidan did great, loved it and did it over and over and over again!

Every morning when getting dressed, I say, are you ready to go see Grandma and Grampy? Aidan replies "bye-bye?" and will sometimes keep saying it! Grandma gets him to eat cheese, pear, mac & cheese and other people food in addition to his baby food. She's great at getting him to try things. She takes him on a daily walk where Aidan walks around the culdesac and after b-fast, they go for a walk in the stroller.

Aidan is starting to run and he waddles when he does! He can climb up on the sofa and today he tried to climb on the coffee table. When we tell him NO like we did about the coffee table, he no longer does the pouty lip, sad "I'm ready to cry" face, instead he either just tries to do it again or gets times! We read to him a lot, although, he seems to not be as interested as he was just a month ago. We continue to make it part of our daily routine because we feel it's important. Aidan's new words are hat, hot, bath and the cutest attempt at banana! He loves to use the keyboard and type and Grampy let's him sit on his lap and play with the computer. We introduced crayons and a coloring book and Aidan does really well. Grandma taught him how to knock which makes peek-a-boo behind doors really fun! We measured his feet this past Friday and he's a 5 1/2! He turns his mobile on after I lay him in his crib and he lays there watching it as he falls asleep. He still loves to watch Backyardigans, but his new favorite cartoon is Wonder Pets. Aidan's smile is the best, his laugh even better. He brings us all so much happiness. I love you Aidan

Handsome Irish Boy

Who me? Mommy says that me and Brandon are the most handsome Irish boys in the world! My Grandma made corned beef, cabbage, carrots, potatoes and asparagus for lunch today. Mommy and Daddy came over to Grandma and Grampy's for lunch! Grandma took me home tonight and stayed for dinner and we went and played at the park! I've had the best St. Patty's Day!

Oh....and Mommy wanted me to thank Grandma and Grampy for letting me have a sleep-over on Sunday! I had a lot of fun and Mommy and I agree that you both rock! Love you!

Daddy's new job offer

Tim was offered a full time job today at a local hospital!

Tim, I am so proud of deserve this!
It's been almost exactly nine months since he lost his job at Marketscan. To say the last 3/4 of the year have been difficult in an understatement. One thing's for sure, we could not have made it through without the love and support of our family and friends. Mom and Jim played a vital role in helping me get through the summer months without Tim. I cannot even begin to show my gratitude to everyone and their support. Tim's wonderful news comes a day after Cyndi's bad news. California is experiencing one of the worse financial crisis with layoffs sis is one of those teachers being affected. So, it's with a very heavy heart that I ask for everyone's prayers and good wishes for Cyndi, Heather and all the top notch teachers that are affected. Cyndi and Heather are not just a number, they make a fundamental difference in their student's lives. They genuinely care about all their students and go above and beyond to help these kids. Our country needs more of these types of teachers, not less. If Cyndi and Heather are not called back to Ernie Pyle, that school will suffer an immeasurable loss. I only hope that I can provide the love and support for Cyndi as she has been doing for me, Tim and Aidan.
